Pay-Per-Click Advertising
What is Pay-Per-Click?
PPC advertising is the placement of a small ad on the search results page for a specific keyword or keywords in return for a specified payment when a visitor actually clicks on the ad. Advertisers pay nothing to appear on the results page per se; they only pay the amount they have agreed to (or bid for) when someone actually clicks on their ad and is taken to the landing page on their website. The term "pay per click" means just what it says: the advertiser pays each time a visitor clicks on the ad.
Why use PPC?
PPC is a quick way for you to propel your site to the top of the search engines. Another great feature of PPC is you have the ability to set budgets so you can control how much you spend. You have the ability to change the amount you bid on a particular keyword phrase and the changes happen in real-time.
PPC allows you to drive targeted traffic to your site right away without having to wait for search engines to find you. This is a great solution for websites that are pursuing Search Engine Optimization campaigns, but want results without having to wait for the SEO results to take effect.
